Mary Buchanan, former educator at Madison County High School, launches her sweet romance novel, The Wildflowers of Madison County. It is the first book in the Madison County series.
The story centers around three girlfriends, Sydnee, Margo, and Diane, who earned the reputation as the ”wildflowers”. The girls had the tendency to not follow protocol and stayed on restriction most of their teenage lives. After high school graduation, they made a vow to retire in their hometown.
This is the story of Sydnee, the ringleader of most of the mischief. She returns to her hometown to establish a B & B. She discovers JJ Harper, her first love, has moved back to Madison County, too. Margo and Diane must work together to reunite Sydnee with the high school sweetheart she lost. Along the way, the friends uncover more small-town secrets and experience firsthand how their friendship can mend broken hearts and heal old wounds.
If you love romance, you will enjoy this beautiful story. You may purchase an autographed copy of The Wildflowers of Madison County, beginning October 27, 2021, at Grace & Cloth Mercantile, formerly Southern Grace Gifts, in Madison or at T & T Barbeque and Southern Home Cooking in Jasper. The books are also available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
The setting for my first novel series is Madison County. Three girls who have maintained a strong friendship since childhood reunite when the “leader” returns home to semi-retire.
Remember your high school days when you fell in love for the first time? Do you recall when your parents placed you on restriction for a week or more when you went to an unchaperoned party (by mistake)? What about that little car wreck, and you had to throw the beer cans way out in the woods before the cops arrived?
Book One in the Madison County series is the story of Sydnee who is the leader of the pack. Sydnee is a strong, successful woman who as a teenager was the life of the party.
The first book in the series will be published in October and available at these locations, including online.
